Fuel smell?

Post by Jasonvii » Wed Jan 13, 2021 12:04 pm

Hey Guys,
Any one have any ideas? Had mine rolling road tunes about 5k mile ago, decat & dna filter so running 220 rejoined and the bike runs fantastic! Only recently it is sometimes smelling a bit of petrol when I’ve knocked it off? It’s about 2k off the 15k service? Also it’s sounds (I think 🤔) a little noisier on start up from the timing chain area? Any thoughts? 🤞🏻🙏🏻

It’s been removed for a long time, the smell has only started recently 👍🏻

did you over fill the tank and get some fuel in the overfill lines ?,

I doubt its noisier on start up, if the timing chain was making noise it would not be you think , you would know

I may have done as I have been filling it to the very to the very top, I will keep an eye in this, yeah the noise is probably just me.
Although today I gave it a good blast, let it cool as i ambled back for 5 mins, knocked it off went in the supermarket after about 15 mins started it and it cut out after a couple of seconds. Started it again and it was fine? Any thoughts?
