Murphs' bar riser final pictures

Post by H2SXadmin » Wed Sep 16, 2020 4:46 pm

Just installed the final version of Murphs bar risers. They look good, but I still had to do some filing/grinding on the left one to squeeze the lower part right next to the clutch lever housing.

I'm also running the 0.5" risers which I put on earlier waiting for these to be done, and the first picture shows that. But I've probably got about 2" of rise now, and maybe 0.5" pull back. I've not ridden with them yet as we are in apocalypse land with fire smoke and I still need to re-locate the front brake line collection block that's right under the steering stem.

But just sitting on it in the garage it feels great. Still sporty, but much more comfortable.

Here are mine, installed. I also use the 1/2 inch spacers. I’m very pleased.

Looks good. I like the anodizing.

I made an attempt to show the amount of rise from the 1/2" spacer kit + Murphs' risers.

Right side shows stock, left side shows risers installed. This is just an approximation because the angles of the pictures may be slightly off, but the size/scale is correct. Note the left side I also have a different screen installed, thus the height difference.

With the 1/2" spacers AND Murphs' risers the switch housing on the clutch side just kisses the underside of the windshiled/fairing area.

Without the 1/2" risers I would suspect it would just miss.

I made this brake line bracket for a forum member here that has a set of the murphs risers. I could make a batch of them if you guys would like me to.

I could add a 1/2” to the height and add another hole for those who want to run my spacers with the murphs risers.

Depending on its dimensions the one in the picture might work based on where I have mine currently zip tied.

I'd be interested (and Murph might be too). What would be the approximate cost?

If I make a batch of about around 50 I should be able to get the cost to around $30. That one in the picture took me over a hour to make being it was the 1st one and I had no plans or drawings to go off of.

I have 2 jobs ahead of this right now though so it will be a little while before I can get started on them.

If you want I might be able to make another one if you want to try it and see if it will work with the spacers + murphs risers.

Sounds good if you get a chance to do it. You have my address, but I'll PM you some info anyway.
