Taillight connectors

Post by Vex » Tue Sep 15, 2020 3:09 pm

Does anyone know the model of connectors the H2 SX has for it's rear turn signals? I am installing the CustomLED taillight, but it appears to use the OEM connector for the turn signals. I previously installed the Yoshi tail tidy which had me cut those off, and though I swear I saved them, I can't find them.

When I look on the oem diagrams, you can't just buy the wiring alone, you have to buy the entire turn signal at like $127 a pop.

Yes. :D Oh, I suppose you want to know what they are.

Rear turn signal connections use a 2-way Sumitomo MT (090) Sealed connector.

The male side is 6187-2311
The female side is 6180-2321

The M/F designation refers to the terminals not the housing. Click on the part numbers to see each housing to confirm you get the right one.

You are, as your name states, a Champ. Thank you! Poor girl is sitting with her ass end out and I need to get her back together.

Thanks. I spent many hours researching all the connectors I needed when I fitted keyless ignition to my SE. No reason why you shouldn't benefit from that as well.

For anyone else doing similar mods, be aware that Kawasaki changed to a different connector. I believe it happened in 2019.

The best advice is to eyeball your existing connectors and see if they match the images in the previous posts and links. If not, then post up some images and we'll do some investigation.
