Pipe Werx exhaust slip on

Post by steadly2004 » Mon Aug 12, 2019 10:23 pm

Just thought I'd share a couple pics of the new exhaust that came today. Shipped from UK to US, arrived at the door like 4 days later. Looks like quality and good fitment. I also have a quick video, but without someone there to help I can only rev lightly from the front of the bike where you mostly hear the supercharger.

I also swapped the right faring for a new one since I dropped the bike while doing a uturn and parking. Cost was like $210 shipped. Too slow speed and stopped then fell. So new plastic and comes painted. Also installed some frame sliders from vcyclenut.

That is about the smallest can I've seen. How are you liking it?

I've only used it for a little 20-25 miles cruise around my house post install. I like it. It's loud but not too much, I think the cats do help a bunch. I think it's a better alternative to the slash pipe option from eBay. Probably less loud than that but still pretty good. I like the small pipe to show the rear tire off too.

It does scream like hell when WOT though.

Also it came with a DB killer that quiets it down significantly. I removed it immediately..... LOL. I did start it and rev a bit before making that decision. Not too loud at all with the DB killer installed.

Did you get that shipped from the UK or did you find a North American distributor?

I more I look at it the more I like it! I'm like you I like the open rear wheel look. Plus in the future I am thinking of getting green carbon rims so this would be a great look.

Dave,

We'll be talking for sure. I'm planning to send you me ECU later this year when the riding season is over. I didn't know you had the rims though so I'll for sure give you that business.

I got it shipped from the UK. I forgot to reach out and get the VAT cancelled. So I paid extra unnecessarily. I think I'll email them now. 😀

I like the looks and sound. Do you have a picture with the panniers installed? I suspect a heat shield might be needed

Yes Steady - thanks for posting the sound. Can you post a picture with the bags installed?

Also I'll ask in this thread so it can all sort of be together -

Vcyclenut, do you think your normal slip-on flash would be good with this exhaust?

I will if I ever purchase a set. I don't have any at the moment. I suspect they'll fit with some heat shielding. But I don't know for sure.
