2018 H2 SX AFTERMARKET QUICK SHIFTER

Post by pyrax » Mon May 27, 2019 6:15 pm

Hey guys, Just picked up a 2018 H2 SX NOT the SE version and was wondering if there was anyone that made a quick shifter for it. Is there a way I can install one off an SE and put it on my SX? Thanks guys!

I know in Canada you can buy the quickshifter kit for the H2SX.

Yeah, the OEM kit is going to be your best bet. Technically, you could put any of the generic quickshifter kits like the Annitori on it, but it wouldn't include the auto-blip and it be up to you to figure out how to wire it.

Hi I have checked with Kawasaki and the accessory quick shifter is only compatible with 2019 model bikes because the 2018 bikes have a different wiring loom ! shame . Translogic do one for the H2 SX and I know they work great . Not bothered about the auto blipper to be honest I test rode the SE and thought it was poor anyway

It shouldn't be too hard to retrofit an OEM sensor on to the base H2 SX on the 2018 model. I have looked over the wiring schematics and it would be doable with 2-3 pins in unused locations wired to the OEM sensor. But it seems like no one has the base model SX, everyone went for the SX SE. So unless someone wants to either drop off their bike with me for a week in AZ or has common electronics skills and can read instructions I doubt much work would be done on this front.

Interesting. I have ridden several bikes with quick shifters and find the one on the SE to be superior. Of course, you have to keep the RPM's up during upshifting and keep the throttle closed during downshifting (auto blipper works great) for the smoothest operation.

I own the SX base model and I wish I was anywhere near you... as I'd love to install the OEM quickshifter... quite annoying that Kawasaki does not produce any sort of an adaptor or something in this sort to allow us 2018 owners to use it too - assuming it is indeed only a question of an adapter...

I will actually be in CA this weekend to work for the MA/WSBK round in Monterey.

Depending on where you are, we can make things work, even if you can't drop the bike off with me.

Shoot me an email, support@woolichracing.com and I'll be glad to help out!
