ZX 10R can

Stock ZX10R can has a straight through core and almost bolts right on. Lost about 10 pounds and sounds great!

I like the stock look. How loud is it compared to stock?

I too saw that YouTube video. Finding an excellent used example of this muffler may not be very easy and certainly not cheap I imagine. Looks pretty good. Think I'll keep my options open for now as I'm looking forward to a Brock's slip-on.

It sounds like the akrapovic evolution on my GXSR. The stock ZX10R cans are all over eBay dirt cheap. Most are new take off's, I paid $50 for this new take off. it has a 2 1/4" straight through core. The only advantage a aftermarket slip on would offer is a 2 pound weight difference.

Damn, that is a lot cheaper than I expected. What's the weight savings? Any mods needed to install it? What year(s) ZX-10R have that design? What year is the one in the pic? Sorry for all the questions

Weight savings is about 10 pounds. I made a short ( about 4" ) flat bracket with two holes in it to attach the can to the hanger, ZX10R 2016-19 all the same.

I looked on ebay today and found some less than perfect ones. Also found some full systems for $200. I'm interested in the muffler only, but must be in perfect condition for me to put it on my new toy. Guess I'll keep looking.

Just bought one off eBay cheap. New, take-off. Thanks for the idea.

Thanks Old Racer. Made hanger, installed. Half the size, way lighter. Sounds good, on a scale of 1 being stock and 10 being obnoxious, this is a 6.
