given my username I feel dumb as hell for not seeing what 'BST' stood for on in the instruments. It's the level of supercharger boost, duh :?
The video review that ufo posted a couple hours ago made it obvious.

That video also shows that there's almost zero boost lag. As soon as he blips the throttle the BST meter blips as well.
