Best stock seat ever...but every butt is different.
I suppose it is possible that some butts are harder from a life time of falling on them.
Is that how they become harder?

I had mine redone by a local seat builder. Still needs a few tweaks to be perfect, but 10x better than it was.

Sargent Seats is looking for someone to come to Jacksonville with their bike for final fitting on the H2SXSE. You will get a free seat, anybody close. Check out the link

I have zero issues with the seat. Compared to my old 6R it's magical. Having said that, I wouldn't say no to putting my butt on a cloud as long as it didn't throw off my riding.

I agree, my experience is that it is fairly comfortable. I have however got the seat booked in tomorrow to have it leathered with a bit of extra padding and a bit of green bling diamond stitching. Looking forward to seeing the difference.

Back a couple of weeks now from Italy and Spain 4K + miles in 9 days riding........ the seat was absolutely perfect with the Air Hawke taking the place of most of the foam moulding in the seat.
No issues at all.
On another note, the ride from Salou to Aragon circuit in Spain was epic, 50 miles each way through the mountains, what a road, mostly long sweeping bends, such good fun.

I wonder if those who have no issues with the OEM seat do big mile trips? For an hours riding I find the stock seat fine. A 4 or 5 minute stop to add fuel after that first hour will pretty much "reset" things so the next 40+ minutes are comfortable. However, if I start with a full tank and don't stop then 75 to 90 minutes has me "shuffling" and standing up on the pegs as the discomfort starts to settle in and 2+ hours is almost impossible due to severe discomfort. For any journey of 2 hours or more I NEED my Airhawk seat cushion. That's a pretty poor show for a bike designed to do big mile trips.

I find 8 hours on my SX SE just as bearable as 8 hours on the Corbin seat on my ZZR1200. However, I've not owned anything specifically comfy since my 1981 Honda CB900 Custom in the mid-eighties, so my expectations may be different to others'

I pre-ordered a Sargent Seat this morning, today is the last day for getting 15% discount for the pre-order. They said that it would be ready to ship in about a week.

Did 835K’s / 518 miles with my stock seat on Tuesday.

It’s not great but I could have gone further if I hadn’t got a dark visor and sunglasses.
I’ll probably leave it for a while untill I do some bigger days and see if I get used to it.
