KTRC and Power Fault

Post by dimdunc » Tue Jan 01, 2019 2:44 pm

Anyone come across this before?
Went out for a run yesterday, to start with the gear indicator went a bit funny and had no idea what gear I was in, this lasted for 5 mins then everything became OK again. Continued with the bike run for another hour with no problems, stopped to fill the bike up with fuel and this time when the ignition is on I get the message "POWER, KTRC, KLCM and quick shifter" all in fault. Rode the bike home and tried it again today, still all in fault, anybody got any ideas?

Will check in with the dealer when the holidays are over.

Has your bike been crashed/ dropped? Or have you had the ECU out? I’ve only seen these errors on a crashed H2, but I doubt they’re all genuine faults, more likely a poor connection or damaged ECU/connector.

Bike ECU has never been out and thankfully not been dropped or crashed, did a quick dealer test and got error codes 3E and 25. Got a heads up from Erodotos Savva of Facebook that error code 3E is for the QS sensor so I'll check it out in the morning.

Had a look at both sensors and wiring but they looked OK so bike now in at the dealer and they confirm that the gear position sensor is faulty. Now awaiting on word from Kawasaki?
