I like the dash, big time, with the vision going at my age it's a good thing for me. I hate the color, no options, don't like the front, satnav is awesome, supposely new grip heaters?, whats that about?. Anyway, just thinking about all the mods I would have to do again would be too much. Just modded out my new DRZ but it was cheap in comparison.

I'd like to take one for a spin and check out that skyhook suspension.I can do without a satnav and such.Probably a good thing if one's away from their hometown in another state maybe.I'd be wanting to look at it all the time...not okay for me anyway.

They say the seat is wider also and more comfortable.Like to see how that feels.

Looking at the specs on the Kwak (UK) website,
The new bike has better economy and lower Co2 emissions.
Power and Torque are the same, albeit peak torque is lower at 8500rpm
2nd gear has been changed from 2.429 to 2.471.
Dimensionally, the new bike is larger in all three axis' and up in weight to 267Kg

Lots of nice improvements but at $27500 in the US kind of expensive. At that price point I would sacrifice a bit of performance and go with the BMW S1000XR or Ducati Multistrada V4S both are less expensive but offer a little more versatility. I think the styling on the 2022 H2SXSE+ looks fine, about time they offered TPMS and hill start, I'm a big fan of TFT dash over analog so I'd be thrilled with the 2022 dash. I really wish Kawasaki would redesign the panniers while they look good they lack capacity, they would be much better if Kawasaki offered something similar to the C14 panniers so you could actually put stuff in them. Lots of nice upgrades but at the cost of more weight and cost. The H2SXSE is a great bike but slow seller so with a price approaching 30 grand it's bound to hang around in the dealership for a while.

The current bike is a slow seller, so the increased price is not going to help that. I would still take it over pretty much any other sport touring bike out there. There's no matching it's performance really. Especially the gains that you can get with simple modifications.

While the shape of the panniers is a bit obnoxious, I don't generally have an issue fitting my stuff into them. It's kind of like a game of Tetris. 🤣

The only piece that I would really want is the radar system, and the adaptive cruise control; especially the adaptive cruise control. Makes it easier to do fun things on your bike, hands-free.

I wonder if the 1st gen will become a collectible, with the better styling and analog tach etc

Personally I wouldn't really need a radar up front.Or that crash warning system(cruise control adaption).I'm supposed to be paying attention to everything around me...especially what's in front. If I need help doing that,I probably shouldn't be riding.I mean, that's my own responsibility I'd say.I'm already doing that.If I can't figure out how close I am to someone, something's wrong. If I need a warning to tell me I'm gonna get hit headon,it's most likely too late to actually do something about it...imo.Seems more of a gimmick to me...hate to say it.Having the rear radar(if that is what they mean in part of that info)IS a nice touch. Now that I could see actually aiding a rider with safety.
Now the seat,I MAY see of it'll fit my 2020.It probably does. But it sounds like they actually put some real effort into creating it,since they're making a deal out of it.

IMO...NONE of the H2 family will be collectables. They're awesome, but after the first batch in 2015,then building a BUNCH more,it kinda shot the collectable deal in the foot.Course if one HAD a 2015,and never rode it and kept it pristene, then yeah. That bike might stay 'collectable'...especially the very first one.

yeah, that very much might be my next bike, the XR when I'm done with the H2. whenever that might be, still an awesome bike......

Lots of added bells and whistles for sure. But considering I bought my brand new 2018 priced at $16K in September of 2019 I’ll keep it for a while.

The satnav isn't built in, it takes the GPS from your phone. In fact, as far as I know, all the features you can see on the TFT dash are apps that run on your phone.

This is the way all car manufacturers have gone, via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. SPIN is just Kawasaki's version that links GPS, music, phone, contacts, etc off your phone via Bluetooth and sends it to the dash. If you don't choose to use any of it, it's just a nice TFT dash.

Personally, I prefer an analog tach.
