accessory socket question

Post by yyczed » Thu Oct 10, 2019 4:23 pm

Hi folks,

My H2 SX SE is the first bike I've owned that has gadgets of any kind (I only discovered heated grips this spring in my 35th year of riding), and I'm wondering what the accessory socket on the left side of the cockpit can be used for.

Thanks!

Recharging or powering a mobile phone used as a sat nav / powering a sat nav / powering heated gloves ... just some uses I’ve made so far

Use mine for a travel kettle in addition to the obvious uses above.

Convenient for a portable compressor as well.

Although, I have to confess that the under seat storage space on the bike is so small that to save space, I cut the lighter adapter off the compressor cable and soldered Gerbing type connector so I could plug it into my heated gear outlet. That done, I can fit the compressor, plug kit and a few tools under the seat.

Neat.
I utilise the space inside the main right hand fairing panel, just to the right of the fork leg. There's a cavity, quite a big one, takes a decent puncture repair kit pouch easily.
