Why more room instead of more gear?

You guys notice the trap speed difference between 1/4 times and 1 mile are often near 50 mph? Not saying 1 mile is the true measurement of top speed but would that explain having 500 rpms left over? Sorry just thinking this out loud.

Taller gearing will take a longer distance to get to the same speed. If I didn't have a long enough stretch of pavement to max out with stock gearing taller gearing is only going to give a lower soured in the shorter distance. I want to see what my bike does once I get it to the +500 redline. At this point I only ran it up to the stock redline before having to slow down.

No idea where your getting the 1 mile from. I have no idea what distance I covered or what your saying about the top speed for 1/4 vs 1 mile.

I did a pull today and using the draggy app saw 190 mph and it was still going.....
Are you still running stock gearing?
yes
Still got your mirrors fitted....reckon if you loose them +2-3mph
im sure when I get the bike geared to where its running into its true top speed and not gearing limited this would be true, as it was I only had a few hundred rpm's left. It pulled to the 190 pretty easy with out really hanging on to the throttle for to long

cooter , no I didn't look but that is not that high of an intake temp, I had logged the run but when I got home somehow the memory card needed to be reformatted and I can not retrieve the data so I will have to do it again

the Bonneville salt flats are several miles long, over 5 I think. So I am going to say no 1 mile is not a vehicles true top speed

side note, the bike could deff use a steering damper now!!

I think my steering stem bearings may be a it loose though, I get a knock sometimes when I come to a stop. I need to check them
Did you have to tighten your steering stem bearings? My handlebars are vibrating when I don't have my hands on the grips, when using the CC.
