Re: Tire Choices
I had a set of Metzler Roadtec 01 SEs on for my trips around Scotland and to the Alps. Great road tyres both in the dry and the wet. Never gave a single moment in 7000 miles and managed to get 55 degrees a couple of times on the high scorss of the lean-o-meter.
I've just replaced them with a pair of Road 6s on the recommendation of my tyre supplier. (They were the ones who recommended the 01 SEs). I'm looking forward to seeing how good these are.

I'm going to get Road 6s for a long summer trip in July and am very happy with the Road 5s I have now.black-k1 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 23, 2022 6:54 amI had a set of Metzler Roadtec 01 SEs on for my trips around Scotland and to the Alps. I had Metzelers on my previous BMW, as did friends, and our beef with them was not handling; rather it was that the tread could look fine one day and 500 miles later be showing cord. It's not that total mileage was unacceptable. Instead it was how suddenly the last part of the tread disappeared. They also tended to square off worse than the Michelins, but of course that was on different bikes than the Kawi, so may not apply.

Re: Tire Choices
I am really enjoying the T32's, very neutral and natural feeling turn it even at lower speeds. Im much more comfortable pitching the bike over even with the wife on the bike at all speeds
ill update when I get a chance to run them hard and see how they perform ,

Re: Tire Choices
The 5's were beast, I'll be excited when it's time to upgrade to 6's. I've taken mine from sub-32 to 100+f° temps and never worried.

Re: Tire Choices
I liked the Road 5s and have done over almost 150,000 miles on Road 2s, 3s, 4s and 5s, with each being better than the previous, but the Roadtec 01 SEs were better still.

Re: Tire Choices
Just fitted a set of Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV's to the bike today after the S21's were toast at 2400 miles.
I'll keep you informed on my feelings and miles covered.
