Does anyone have any "before/in progress/after" pics of the install on this fender eliminator kit? Saw some posts on FB that the purchaser was disappointed with the "finish" of the kit. Here is the quote:

"Yoshimura fender eliminator installed, customized to use part of the stock fender to cover cables/connectors. I'm pleased with the results, but it took some time to cut the existing fender bit to fit. And I have to be honest and say their design could be much better. Without that customized cover all the wires, signal connectors, and inside ends of signal stocks are all exposed. Not very aesthetically pleasing."

From the pics, it looks like he didn't like the "gap" between the taillight and the top of the fender eliminator.

Here is the post on FB, if you can open it: https://www.facebook.com/groups/h2sxrid ... 294346494/

Thoughts?

That was me. Here are some more pictures and additional comments.

First, I am pleased with the final result.

When I said "disappointed" that was more directed at Yoshimura's design and my need to customize it to meet my expectations. So, I was NOT pleased that I had to do Yoshimura's work for them. That required I Dremel off a portion of the stock fender that holds the stock license plate light (which is fine, since I won't use it again) and integrate it on to their assembly. You can see it in the first picture. Without it you can stand at the back of the bike and see all the wires (license plate wire, signal wires, and connectors) just sitting there.

All Yoshimura had to do was provide a secondary sheetmetal (or plastic) cover that caps that area, similar to what I did with a bunch of measuring, hacking, and fretting.

I have no idea how this compares to the R&G design and how it fits. Hope this helps.

Good idea, maybe I'll send them a link to this thread with pictures.

Here are some more pics to show the part I took from the EOM fender.
