Post by Tigereyeguy23 » Mon Apr 08, 2019 11:44 pm

Hello Gents,

Just picked up my 2018 H2 SX SE this past weekend sold my ZX 14r 2016 with Brock’s Alien head and Guhl Flash but loving the new bike and already thinking about exhaust.I don’t want anything loud as my Alien head was but don’t want Yoshi either. Why doesn’t anyone like the Akropovic Exhaust?

Welcome & enjoy the ride.

I can't help you with an exhaust. Mine is still stock, but I'm thinking about picking up a Yosh exhaust this season.

I have the Akrapovic, and I think it is good looking. You save a lot of weight too. It is not very loud with the DB-killers in, slightly louder than the stock exhaust.
With the DB-killers out it is louder and deeper. Not too loud in my ears.

If you want to take the DB-killers out you have to drill two holes in the carbon end cap.

Hello Gadus,

Did you take your DB killers out if so how does it look after you drilled the holes in the carbon end caps?

You might check this thread out:

The main reason why I'm not likely to go with an Akrapovic is that despite the high price they want, they won't produce a US version with a removable DB killer.

I did not remove the carbon end cap, I just drilled two 11 mm holes on the inside to reach the bolts. The holes were covered by rubber plugs from Akrapovic.

See my description in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=724&p=6470&hilit=vmatti#p6470
