Mine worked fine from mile 0; I left the dealership using it. You'll get used to where it likes to work, and where it doesn't. Lower power for sure isn't it's favorite place to be, unless down shifting while coming to a stop. You should be accelerating, with the throttle on, for upshifts. If your bike would choke on a gear while upshifting normally (with a clutch) then you shouldn't try to quickshift into it either.

I've found trying to upshift below 4k is a bit snappy (bike lunges) but over 4k and it's a beautiful change. To be honest I only use the clutch for first pulling away then first to second, unless I'm giving it some! :devil:
