New Member, Clatskanie OR...thanks for the add

Post by Canmaninusa » Thu Apr 15, 2021 9:17 pm

Just picked up my new 2021 H2 SE SX +

What oil is everyone using in these beauties? I've used MOTUL in my old Ninjas and they ran pretty smooth. But always open to good advice...Must say its quite a step UP from my 2003 ZX7.....😂ThanksImage

Welcome to the forum!

congratulations on your new bike!

My dealer also uses Motul 5100 10W40.
4.3 liters for last year's 24k inspection in May cost 44.40€ (exkl. VAT).

BTW I like the green bike in the back of your garage :-) I couldn't afford it, when it came out.

I stepped up to the green witch from a year 2000 CBR600F4 (aka as the Princess to me), which itself was quite a stepup from my year 1986 XJ600. I almost knew all the road conditions on my daily commute to work by heart and compared to the "wobbly" XJ the CBR cut through curves and crevices in the roads like a hot knife thru butter.

Gosh, I sometimes regret having traded in the CBR...

Ride safely, mate!

Yes it's an old 03 7...I took it in to get the valves done and carb re-jetted, they royally screwed it up, 1400 dollars later ran worse than when I took it in . .way worse....been parked ever since

Got my tune done on a dyno, locally, not by Brock. It was between $250-500. Don't remember exactly. I have a stage 1 gear as well, so I prefer to have it tuned live at this point, rather than mail in.

If you are just doing things like exhaust, filter, etc., and you don't have a trusted local shop, then have Vcyclenut do it for sure. Great tune.

yes the ol 03 is sooooooo slow compared to this rocket....I bought it from a kid it had 3000miles on it in 2012, it had sat for quite a few years ....its been a good bike....ill resurrect it soon and likely gift it to my Wife's brother, he's a Marine, drools everytime he sees it a good man....my previous scooters, 81 RD350 Yamaha....first bike, then Suzuki Cafe 850GS, Suzuki 1986 Limited Edition ,Dry Clutch, fast little bugger in its day, i could toast pretty much anything up to 100mph, then big bore bike would crawl past take over....Then my 2000 ZX12 Ninja, then 03 ZX7, now this beauty.....been very fortunate to have riden a variety over the years,....Cheers man ride on

My 2000 CBR600F4 was the best sport tourer I've ever owned, and a nearly perfect machine
