Post by Tony Nitrous » Sat Mar 23, 2019 3:02 am

First ride on my SE. Running in, scrubbing in tyres, wondering what all the buttons do....

Great pics Tony! Had mine since mid 2018 and love the thing. Rode it to work two weeks ago and it was well below freezing here in Oregon, but had to ride! I just put on the Yoshimura Alpha exhaust and love the looks and sound.

Have fun!

Playing with the dash and buttons I bought up the lean angles.

44 and 48.

I’ve only had the bike 2 days so I’m not trying to be a hero.

Just out of interest what sort of numbers are everyone else seeing.
This is all new to me.

54 and 59

I wouldn't recommend going this low at 52-23 L the centerstand will scrape and 59 R the lower fairings will scratch.

I just don't understand the attraction of the Busa's but I know they have a cult-like following. I had a pearl white one like in your first picture (2006 Limited Edition here in the US) and it did not handle very well at all. It also acted like a sail in the wind-- not very aerodynamic.

I love Busa’s. I’ve had a few and currently have a Streetfightered naked one, another I’m building up, and a B-King (Busa engine / wheels / front end)

They have a different feel and ride to the SX.
My next bike might be a 2nd hand Gen-2 Busa.

For the drags, dyno shootouts, world wheelie comps, land speed events, big horsepower builds etc they still dominate with their mostly 20 year old design.

To me my SX is a much better, turn key out of the crate road bike, but Busa’s are a different kind of big bore brute. Both bikes have areas they are better at.
