That does look like a fun road. Was the asphalt in good condition?

Hey Cooter, dod you get a chance to do any of the other roads around there? For big sweepers I really enjoy the Cherohola. Also really enjoy Moonshiner 28. Even the bad roads are good in that area.

Have fun!

head down to Suches Ga, and visit Two Wheel only on the way do blood mountain (129), after you leave TWO turn left and head up 60 all the way to Morgantown

people may tell you to do wolf pen gap road instead, not the right bike for that road

thank me later

We've been hitting a lot of roads out here. Last I checked were well over 1,200 miles over the last 3.5 days. We've been taking the Cherohala to get to the Dragon (129) most days. We've hit 28 a couple times and were down near SC on it yesterday. We've also been on Wayah rd, Elijay road, 281 a few times and some others. The guy on the Duke needed tires today so while we waited a coupe of us ran the Cherohala back and forth in the rain a couple times. Tomorrow were headed down to the suches area and were going to do blood mountain, another road then loop back up on 28. 28 is by far everyone in the groups favorite.

I saved a turtle on the Foothills Parkway today.

I've never figured out how those turtles survive road crossings!

Looks like you're hitting all of the great roads in the area. I go to the Smokies every other year (alternate with the Rockies) and love the area. Like vcyclenut said, 60 down to Suches is a nice road with some really fast sweepers and great pavement. Wolf Pen Gap heading east out of Suches is okay but the paving is not so good and there are lots of blind corners due to the forestry--can't really take it as fast as The Dragon.

For the most part it was good. It's great compared to the crap we have in Arizona.

Cooter, I agree that 28 is a blast. I find it a LOT more fun than the Dragon. Ridden it with my brother a couple times with his Harley and sparks were flying from him :) . Anyway, be safe and enjoy!!
