Re: Intake filter housing drainage

I have the same problem, since I installed a full vandemon exhaust and replaced the filter, I tune it and I start having oil dripping from the bottom of the filter box, I drain the little bag twice already and looks like every time I ride oil gets in there and I have to drain it. So annoying. Anyon...

Re: Upcoming Ride Invite Alpine AZ

A few of us are staying at the Quality Inn and suites in Safford the evening of the 27. That way we can hit the road on the 28th before it gets hot.

Re: Further musings on air cleaner replacement

I've had the air duct off a few times for cleaning. It's not that bad to do either. I can get the filter out cleaned and reinstalled in less than 20min now. Except you wouldn't have to remove the left fairing? I don't know, I had it off anyway. Sure was easier your way I think. I had already discon...

Re: Further musings on air cleaner replacement

Getting to the air filter is really easy. I don't even remove the fairing to get it out. https://h2sxriders.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=363&hilit=Air+filter Thanks, looks much easier. Your picture shows pulling back the air duct a little bit, whereas the service manual calls for removing it altog...

Re: Further musings on air cleaner replacement

I have the lower left fairing removed, also the upper left inner piece. Is it totally necessary to fully remove the rear duct to gain access to the filter? I have the left fairing off for an oil/filter change. I have a new air filter on order which won't be here until next week. I considered taking...

Re: Place to purchase stock H2SX SE ECU or compatible ECU?

Why are you looking at buying an ecu? Usually anytime I mess with something on a bike, I like to keep the OEM parts left alone, if I can, and if I blow something up, I have an immediate backup. Ron Ayers dot com has them for $995.90. Seems like a waste of money as long as you're going to tune it pr...

Re: Intake filter housing drainage

I know the crankcase is on the dry side. I just dont see how all the oil can be on the wet side and none on the dry where its coming in, especially if the bike is running and being sucked into the supercharger. How is the oil getting in there then? I think it's a combination of the oil being a fine...

Re: Intake filter housing drainage

I'm planning on ordering one of the hoses with the little bottles and tubes that's attached to the other drain and put it on the opening with the tube. My concern is how much of the oil is getting into the plenum and combustion chamber. That can be detrimental to an engine. The problem is that the ...
