Re: Murph's bar riser design update #3

The final risers will be coated black of course (not sure if they anodize or powdercoat). Powder coating adds some dimension, so if there are any tight critical tolerances involved where parts fit together, then anodizing is the way to go IMO. The other option is to ensure to completely mask off an...

Re: Lots of steam when riding in the wet

^^^ Yeah, sounds like it was just a water soaked radiator that heated up more after you stopped and started vaporizing the water off of the radiator.

Re: Exhaust replacements

Yoshimura! Love it, now to find out how to actually purchase. Guessing there will be a delay while they build up inventory, let distributors know about it, etc. I'll just pick up a header like Arrow or Akra when/if they ever make it. But I love the Alpha cans from Yoshi!!! https://www.youtube.com/w...

Re: Little things (and the not so little)

I was, and continue to be, shocked by the violent jaring of going from N to 1st. My Triumphs never did that. A lot of bikes will "cluck" some when going from N to 1st. Just the way a motorcycle transmission is designed. Everything is turning while in N, and even if the clutch lever is pulled there ...

Re: Is anyone else having problems with fuel overflow?

I'm thinking the gas cap gasket may be letting fuel escape when the bike is leaned over even though the tank isn't over filled. That's what I would think also. Once the gas cap is locked down, it shouldn't be leaking any fuel and going out the overflow vent tube. Check around both side of the gas c...

Re: Actual weight

Full wet weight for the SE is I believe 260kg with full (usually 90%) tank. While my readings varied a little I found my scales read 117.4 kg front 123.1 kg rear. Making 240.5 kg with I estimated 8 litres of fuel in the tank. Giving a full tank wet weight of 248.2kg. I think Kawasaki's website said...
