Re: Back rest

There have been a few people asking about back rests here and I can only assume it's because the passenger feels like they're going to fly off the back. My wife said she didn't feel safe on the back because she felt like she was going to fly off the back if I twitched on the throttle but she blamed ...

Re: Low speed fuelling

Thanks for all the info Champ ... its super helpful. That 100% throttle grip to butterfly connection is something I've missed on this bike. Sometimes when I blip the throttle on a downshift its almost like the bike doesn't do as I ask so I'll be very interested to see what it feels like in full mode...

Re: Low speed fuelling

Yeah I know Champ ... I intend on having it derestricted soon (I'm in Europe so posting the ECU to the US is a little daunting). You say in 6th gear ... does the map give full throttle in the lower gears?

Re: Low speed fuelling

Interesting findings Champ87 ... looks like there's hope for me yet! :) @Switch18 ... well ... TC - aka wheelie police KEBC - nope ... this is not a two stroke ... I expect it to slow down when I shut off the throttle. KQS - I find it really harsh on the street ... I can clutchless shift smoother th...

Re: Low speed fuelling

I was running in 5th or 6th gear @ 50kmh (30mph) which seems like a very high gear but the bike seems to be fine with it. I've started using lower gears at low speed and keeping rpm > 2500 which alleviates the snatchiness a lot. I know its probably better to use low gear .. none of my other bikes (i...

Re: A Very Bad Night

Damn :( ... chin up mate ... ride long enough and you'll put it down sooner or later. Main thing is you're ok ... hope you get it back on the road soon.

Re: New Bike, extreme heat!

I haven't noticed this bike to be any hotter than any other inline four I've had. Your description sounds strange ... if it persists I'd visit the dealer.

Re: Why not a Top Case?

This is my setup ... the side on view shows how much further forward it sits. If your better half uses it as a backrest I'd suggest the webike over the Givi. There is a gentleman on here that has had the Givi brackets break twice.
