Re: Chain noise, help me!

I notice something starts "ticking" around 4k rpm. I thought it was a loose valve at first but that noise would be constant ... this only happens around 4k rpm.

Re: Help with Rear Stand

This may be a silly suggestion but your description and photos beg the question. When you lift the handle on the rear then pin move forward (and down) which will put it in front of the dolly. This should allow you to insert the pin then push down on the handle which will lift the bike and pull it ba...

Re: Re-map then a Sprint filter ok?

I don't think it would hurt to get the map for the sprint filter straight away ... it will just mean you're running a little rich until you put the filter in.

Re: New tire break in: mold releaseing agent

I used to put tyres on my track bike and then be out dragging knees within a lap or two but tyres get hot quickly on the track. On the road I take it easy on the ride home from the shop but after that I ride as normal. I generally run Bridgestone tyres but I don't treat other brands differently.

Re: Custom windshield

I'm the same height and I had the same issue with the std touring screen throwing the wind blast right in my face. I bought the power bronze std screen (looks about the same as your zero gravity one) and that has lowered the wind blast to my neck/shoulders which is much better. I'm kinda used to hav...

Conversely ... once you get the nose up a little and those things are angled upwards they might make wheelies even easier :D

Re: Puig Winglets

Lets be honest here ... those wings are purely for aesthetics right? They are mounted to the side of the fairing using the screws that attach top/bottom fairings via rubber well nuts. If they generated any appreciable downforce then surely they would be more securely mounted?

Re: Coffee stop in The Netherlands

I deliberated forever between the yoshi alpha, brocks predator or an akrapovic with a custom link pipe (not the std huge akrapovic) ... the Yoshi looked a little too fat and I didn't like the issues with melting bags with brocks. Akrapovic would have been great but couldn't be bothered faffing about...
