Re: Balancing act: remove both wheels

...I'm content to pay someone to do that part. ... Hey Dan, I've never changed tires with irons and wouldn't even attempt the hassle. I know you're content to have a shop change yours, but the No-Mar does actually work for me pretty much as in their videos (https://www.nomartirechanger.com/). Their...

Re: Balancing act: remove both wheels

I have now struck out twice trying to get new tires at two Kawasaki dealers.... This is in part why I purchased a No-Mar tire changer and a Marc Parnes balancer. So far, I've only done it once, but it's in my hands and on my schedule. I still have to wrestle with the tires a bit because I don't hav...

FS: 2018 SX SE

I'm selling my 2018 H2 SX SE. This is the bike that I've posted about previously. The engine on it blew while I was travelling at about 75 MPH on an interstate. The damage was catastrophic; however, Kawasaki honored the extended warranty, and my local shop rebuilt the engine. I have only logged abou...

Re: Rear seat cowl?

Colorite, ok , I’ve dealt with them before, pics would be nice, I’m thinking of doing same, so you use all Components ( base color and clear) from colorite? And how was the color match compared to rest of bike? Color match was very good. I left the painter with a bit of trim to match against. What ...

Re: Rear seat cowl?

Burmashave, u had the cowl painted that metallic Emerald green! They matched the Kawasaki paint? How well did it match? And where did u get the paint? I got the paint from Color Rite: https://www.colorrite.com/product/kawasaki-60r-emerald-blazed-green-3940.cfm I got a pint of the Emerald Blaze Gree...

Re: Rear seat cowl?

Yea. No concerns with it flying off or anything. It's stable. The tabs are strong and locking the seat down on the bike keeps them in place anyways. Slightly off topic, but funny story: I do have a cowl on my seat,. It is locked down securely; however, I think the tabs make it so the seat needs jus...

Re: Mounted Scotts Steering Damper

I finally got around to mounting the steering damper today. The mounting went smoothly, and I am totally happy with the result. Again, Bryan, you did a great job with the packaging and instructions. I just wanted to pass along that I didn't have a socket tap wrench. I thought about using an inverted...

Re: Caught gravel

Sorry about your loss, but glad you're whole. Road rash is no fun; you have my sympathy there as well.

For what it's worth, the parts you're selling prolly belong in the marketplace subforum.

Re: Tire Changing for Carbon Rims

I can't see it would be a problem if you use rim savers. Alloy rims aren't very resistant to scratching and dings from tire levers but I do my own changes without problems. I wouldn't do my own changes without rim protection though. I always used to get my tires done at the shop until one day they ...
