Russ’ ride from Oregon to Wa and Idaho

Hi all, just back from a three day, 1100 mile jaunt into Washington, Idaho and Eastern Oregon. I rode with a buddy who took his Concours. Lots of twisties out of Lewiston, Idaho down to Joseph, Oregon. Wallowa Lake is gorgeous. Last few hours of the ride home was in the rain....of course. PNW stuff....

Re: New bike coming, would like a manual in advance

The controls are like those of a Gulfstream jet, things just happen quicker on the H2 SX bikes! Lol
Hey Plymouth H2, welcome to the ownership circle and get us pics when you pick it up and ride home.

I am in Dallas, about 18 miles west of Salem. I also bought my bike at Power in Sublimity, Dennis was t...

Re: N. Umpqua River - Oregon

Hey Prof3, where are you in Oregon? I’ve got the 2018 H2 SX SE and live in Dallas, outside of Salem.
We sure have some great places to ride in this State....when it’s not raining of course. Lol

Re: Poll - Why are you looking to buy an SX?

I’ve already done the ZX-14R, the newer version of the VMax and then later missed the performance of those machines. The SX SE has the performance I was missing, but also reasonably comfortable, has cruise control and luggage capabilities....bought it in July of 2018 and loving the bike ever since. ...

Yoshi....for price and looks. And I think the sound is much improved over stock.

Congrats and welcome to the group! I’ve had my 2018 SX SE for almost a year now and love the thing. I added the Yoshimura slip on recently and love the sound of it now.
Enjoy!

Re: Idling speed irregular

Roger that HaraldB, I do not see it as a problem either. For me riding to work on my SX SE, at the first stoplight I come to, four miles away, the idle is high and then normal thereafter. NASA has the same problem with their rocket ships as well. Lol

Re: Panniers seem a bit rubbish

I love the stock panniers! Never a single issue with them and I take them off the bike routinely, and they always go off and back on without a hitch. Not the most glamorous but I find them to be very useful.
Just my two cents.

Re: previous bikes

Hey Windjammer, I would highly recommend the Suzuki GXS-S1000F. It is very light in handling and comfortable with the upright riding position. It’s pretty quick and really has a surge after about 8,000 rpm. I rode my S1000F to work today and really enjoy the ease of handling at a stop. It feels far ...
